Getting around Lismore and Goonellabah
Inland support has a different rhythm to the coast — more appointments, more driving, and a community that has rebuilt a lot in recent years. What that looks like week to week:
Lismore — the CBD and Lismore Square for shopping and skill building, the Lismore Regional Gallery and library for quieter outings, and Lismore Base Hospital and the surrounding allied health practices for appointments.
Goonellabah — the Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre for pool sessions and gentle exercise, local shops and parks for everyday outings without a long drive.
The coastal run — Lismore and Goonellabah sit roughly 30 km inland, so a beach day at Ballina or Lennox Head is a genuine outing rather than a quick trip. We plan those as full sessions with transport built in.
Because appointments cluster around Lismore, transport tends to be the support that carries the most weight inland — and the one where reliability matters most.
