Where community access actually happens here
Community participation works better when the worker already knows the place. Around the coastal cluster, the regular destinations look like this:
Ballina — the Richmond River foreshore and Shaws Bay for accessible, flat walks; the Fair and Ballina Central for shopping trips that double as skill building; the RSL and Missingham Park for social outings.
Lennox Head — Seven Mile Beach and the Lake Ainsworth foreshore, plus the village strip for coffee and a low-key catch-up. Lake Ainsworth's calm water suits people who find surf beaches overwhelming.
Alstonville — the plateau's quieter pace, Crawford House and the village shops; a short, easy drive to Ballina for appointments.
These three sit within roughly 12 km of each other, which is why the same worker can reliably cover all three in a week — and why rosters here hold together better than they do across a spread-out region.
